A natural connector and visionary, she leads SNPT with heart, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to creating a kinder, safer world for animals. Known for her uplifting spirit and ability to unite people, Jessica brings a collaborative energy to every endeavor and thrives where others see obstacles, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and impact.

    Deeply rooted in community, Jessica finds joy and grounding in acts of service, whether volunteering with animal welfare organizations, fostering animals in need, or creating spaces that bring people together in purpose and friendship. She lives each day with intention, nurturing her own well-being through biohacking, strength training, and mindful reflection. Jessica’s global travels and cross-cultural experiences fuel her uniquely open-minded perspective, shaping SNPT’s path toward lasting, sustainable impact.

  • Gemma Secola

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Originally from the UK, Gemma has over 12 years of global experience as an ACCA-qualified accountant specializing in audit, forensic accounting, and financial governance. Her career spans nonprofits, religious institutions, and corporations. After years in public accounting, she joined a NASDAQ-listed global manufacturing company, rising to Finance Manager at one of its California-based beverage subsidiaries, where she oversees complex financial operations with precision, integrity, and strategic vision.

    An ardent advocate for animal welfare, Gemma lives her values through action, opening her home to rescue cats and championing the adopt, don’t shop philosophy. As SNPT’s CFO, she applies the same rigor and insight she’s honed throughout her career, ensuring every decision drives growth, impact, and long-term sustainability. She is equally passionate about promoting financial literacy and guiding donors to understand and maximize the tax benefits of their contributions, empowering giving that is purposeful, confident, and transformative.

    SECRETARY

    With nearly a decade of experience in quality improvement and a deep compassion for underserved populations, Juan bridges the worlds of data-driven strategy and heartfelt advocacy. As an Improvement Advisor for a Northern California Health Organization, he has dedicated his career to elevating outcomes through thoughtful analysis, collaboration, and systems that create measurable change. His expertise in identifying root causes and applying proven improvement methods directly supports SNPT’s mission to end suffering at its source.

    A lifelong dog lover, Juan shares his home with Sarabi, a spirited Doberman who reminds him daily of the joy and responsibility that come with pet ownership. When he’s not spending time with her, he finds balance on his yoga mat, living with the same mindfulness and dedication he brings to advancing SNPT’s vision of a kinder, more sustainable world for animals and the people who love them.

    BOARD MEMBER

    Bringing over 30 years of nonprofit accounting experience and an unwavering commitment to animal welfare, Yvonne embodies the rare balance of strategic expertise and compassionate service. Throughout her career, she has guided resources toward meaningful impact, raising vital funds for rescue organizations and even became a Registered Veterinary Technician solely to volunteer her skills in spay/neuter clinics. Grounded in the belief that prevention is the most powerful way to break the cycle of suffering, Yvonne is dedicated to expanding access to spay/neuter where it’s needed most, creating lasting change for animals and the communities they call home.

    Known for blending financial acumen with compassionate action, Yvonne strengthens SNPT’s mission by ensuring that every resource, whether dollars or skills, creates measurable impact for animals. Her love of travel, languages, and cross-cultural connection brings a broad perspective to her work, while her life in the Mojave Desert with her husband, David, keeps her grounded and inspired. Whether cycling, running, or creating vegan meals, Yvonne lives with the same energy and purpose she brings to advancing animal welfare.
