Our Approach to Volunteering

General

  • Minimum age 18 (16 with parental consent for non-clinical roles).

  • Passion for animal welfare and teamwork.

  • Ability to follow health, safety, and biosecurity protocols.

  • Completion of SNPT orientation and training.

Clinical Volunteers

  • Licensed veterinarians, vet techs, or students under supervision.

  • Knowledge of basic surgical procedures, anesthesia, and animal handling.

  • Willingness to use PPE and follow strict hygiene standards.

Non-Clinical Volunteers

  • Comfortable assisting with animal care, logistics, and community outreach.

  • Able to lift up to 15 kg (30 lbs) and adapt to changing roles.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

All Volunteers

  • Adhere to SNPT’s code of conduct and respect confidentiality.

  • Open to learning, feedback, and supporting a safe, positive environment.
